Every wedding is a totally unique experience because every couple is totally unique, and none more so than Andrew and Ria with me a quirky wedding photographer.
This all took place at the Druidstone Hotel in Broadhaven near Haverfordwest in Pembrokeshire. It’s a location as eclectic as the ceremony that took place there, full of loads of interesting paintings, photos and artefacts.
It’s also a popular venue with walkers and artists. On the day of the wedding itself, a painter was sitting peacefully in the corner of the beautiful gardens, capturing the day’s events on canvas.
Pembrokeshire wedding photographer Hacker says: “I’ll be honest. On paper this wedding looked like it was going to be a bit of a serious pagan affair with a ‘ritual union’, ‘feast’ and ‘wassail’ being listed as some of the key events of the day. But it turned out to be a hilarious piss-take which funnily enough had more meaning than some of the more traditional weddings I’ve been to.”
And Hacker explains more about his idea behind the moving cat image included in this blog: “When I first looked up the venue online I particuarly liked the cat ‘giff’ which looked like the animal ran away when you hovered over it. Then during the ring flash portrait shots one of the guests dressed up as a cat, so as a homage to the website I couldn’t resist creating a giff myself.”
